Synthetic ropes are typically made from man-made chemicals and fibers, including polypropylene, nylon, and polyester, all of which are plastic-based materials [2]. Common materials for synthetic rope also include polyester, polypropylene, and high-modulus fibers, and choosing the right rope material is critical for performance and safety. For example, polyester rope is considered one of the top synthetic rope materials, it is similar to nylon rope but has better chemical resistance and higher strength. However, polyester rope does not absorb as much energy as nylon rope [7]. Due to their lightness, flexibility and ease of handling, synthetic ropes are ideal for assembly projects that require precision and speed. Synthetic ropes used in assembly can be made from a variety of materials such as nylon and polyester, each with its own unique properties and applicability [11]. In addition, nylon was the first synthetic material used to make ropes and is still one of the most commonly used materials in synthetic ropes today.
